Decide if Online Learning is Right for You

FCC Online Learning offers you a way to complete classes without the usual time and location restrictions of traditional classroom instruction. Students who take Online Learning classes at FCC enjoy the flexibility and convenience while still benefiting from the same quality academic experience as our on-campus students.

Many degrees and certificates offer a mix of online and face-to-face classes. In some cases, up to half of the classes toward your degree or certificate can be completed online!

FCC Online Learning (FCCOL) classes come in two forms:

Online courses are offered entirely online with no required class meetings on campus.

Hybrid courses combine some percentage of class time on campus and online.  The requirement varies from class to class - you may be asked to come to campus weekly or just once for the final exam.

Before registering for an Online or Hybrid class, you want to be sure that you are prepared - both academically and technically.  Check your scores on these self-assessments to see if online learning is right for you.

Assessment 1: Is an online class right for your learning style?

Assessment 2: Do you have the technical and organizational skills needed to succeed in an online class?

Still not sure? Register for CIT 202 Introduction to Online Learning. This one unit, nine-week class will show you the differences between traditional "in the classroom" classes and online classes.
